As you probably (don’t) know, I’ve always used AS2 & AS3 for my previous games. I was just using the display list, never jumped into frameworks like Flixel, FlashPunk & the like.

In the last months, I’ve been playing a bit with new version of Flash Player (v11 aka Molehill), and its new 3D API (aka Stage3D). No doubt, this will be a HUGE step forward for Flash games. I tested it a bit with Away3D 4.0 and it’s awesome!
Anyway, it’s not out yet (still in Beta), so meanwhile I’ve been trying to get a decent performance with AIR 2.7 on an Android tablet, trying out new GPU modes, full & partial blitting and whatever trick came to mind with pretty bad results. On lower resolutions (smartphones) it’s ok but when you try to deal with tablet resolutions, it doesn’t perform that well.
